This year marks not only the 75th observance of NDEAM but also the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ACA). Both milestones are being commemorated with a range of events and activities centered on the theme "Increasing Access and Opportunity." More information here.

Teaching Tolerance Lesson: Understanding Disabilities

October is LGBTQ+ History Month. These resources from Teaching Tolerance will help you and your students as you celebrate the diverse identities, experiences, and histories of LGBTQ activists - and the continuing fight for LGBTQ equality.

  1. How Might We Design For Hybrid Blocks Theme: Basic of Teaching and Learning Date: Thursday, October 22, 2020 Time: 7 pm - 8 pm EST.

  2. High-Quality Remote Instruction with Transcend Education Theme: Basic of Teaching and Learning Date: Wednesday, October 28, 2020 Time: 12 pm EST.

  3. How Might We Design Synchronous and Asynchronous Discussions? Theme: Basic of Teaching and Learning Date: Thursday, October 29, 2020 Time: 7 pm - 8 pm EST.

Through this program, TFA alumni in principal or assistant principal roles can apply to receive knowledge, support, and resources (including $10,000 in funding for their proposal) to implement their vision for CS learning in their school community starting next school year. Applications are open through Sunday, November 15.
