Weekly Blast 5/3/21

“I am not a teacher, but an awakener.”

-Robert Frost

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

You have done so much to help our students grow and learn in this weird era of COVID. You have paved the way for virtual learning, teaching during a pandemic, and switching from in person learning, to hybrid learning, to at-home learning. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do this year. You are the true heroes!

This week we have EOY conversations. Make sure that you have signed up for an EOYC with your home MTLD coach and do the necessary prework that is linked in the sign up doc. Also, if you (1 CMs) have not signed up for a Theory of Change event, then you can still attend either Monday, May 3rd or Wednesday, May 5th. Find the sign ups for both of these events below.

We know that high quality teachers are one of the most important pieces to a student’s educational progress. We are excited to announce that this year, any of our 2019 Corps Members who choose to teach a 3rd year in Hamilton County (either in HCS or in the charter sector) will be eligible to receive a $1000 stiped in the 2021-2022 school year. Find out more about the “Commit to Community” stiped here. If you have additional questions or concerns please reach out to Sanjana at Sanjana.ballallink@teachforamerica.org

We hope that you have a great week of feeling appreciated as you enter the testing season. Please let us know if you have any questions or need support. Molly and Courtney will have open office hours for anyone who wants to sign up. Send us a text or email if you would like to sign up for office hours.

Thanks so much for all that you do!

Janiel, Molly, and Courtney
