Abby Fagin

Manager, Teacher Leadership Development


As a Manager of Teacher Leadership Development, Abby coaches, develops the instructional leadership, and provides support to our teachers in Nashville.

After graduating from The Ohio State University, Abby began her career in education as a Teach For America corps member teaching 6th grade social studies and English Language arts at Apollo Middle School. She continued teaching in Nashville at Valor Collegiate Academies as 7th and 8th grade writing teacher and serving as the Writing Department Chair and 8th Grade House Team Lead.

Abby finds great joy in refining curriculum and instructional design and draws inspiration from helping corps members find their passion and drive impact for educational equity in the classroom and the community. Outside of work, Abby loves to eat good food with great friends, travel, read, workout, and build new connections.

Supports and fosters leadership development for first- and second-year teacher through meetings, professional development, community building, and coaching.
Provides instructional development with a focus on instructional techniques and equitable learning enviroments through observation, coaching, and small-group sessions.
