As a Manager of Teacher Leadership Development, Tohib coaches, develops the instructional leadership, and provides support to our SPED teachers in Nashville. This includes coaching corps members toward expanding perspectives, facilitating small group sessions, and designing learning experiences to advance the academic and person growth of their students. Tohib partners with schools, communities, students, and families as well as the broader regional team to build a culture that celebrates unique contributions and unites people around shared values and common purpose.
Tohib is a TFA 2018 Memphis alum where he worked with high school students with emotional disturbance diagnosis. He migrated to the United States from Nigeria in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. He’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the Christian Brothers University.
Tohib is a special educator, filmmaker, and the author of Love in Ramadan. Tohib is also the founder of Read For Growth Initiative, a nonprofit and literacy program in his home-country of Nigeria. He is a passionate advocate for literacy, especially during children’s formative years. He believes in the transformative power of servant leadership.
