Matthew Cheek

Matt Cheek is the Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships for Nashville Teacher Residency, where he oversees the growth and development of aspiring classroom teachers through coaching and curriculum development as well as strong, collaborative relationships with partner schools.

Matt began his career in education as a 2014 Teach For America corps member in South Carolina. He began working with Tennessee public schools beginning in August 2017 as an Instructional Coach for Knox County Schools. Matt currently serves as Board Chair for Teach For America Nashville-Chattanooga’s Alumni Board, as well as serving on the boards of Book’em Young Professionals, and Clemson University Alumni Association.
