  • The Future of Policy & Education in The Black Community, Feb 22 @ 7:30 PM EST A forum of Black political leaders sharing their vision and plans for the future of education policy and the Black community, brought to you by TFA’s Black Community Alliance and the Government Affairs team.

  • Black on Black Education Conference, Feb 23, 25, 26, and 27th Black on Black Education, co-founded by 2020 NY CM Evalaurene Jean-Charles and her father, is holding a 4-day community event where ALL educators who touch the lives of Black students in and outside the classroom are invited to join an interactive and action-oriented space for educators to engage with resources for all those in the service of Black students. The Conference and February 25th’s Policy & Equity night are sponsored by TFA’s Black Community Alliances and will feature TFA community speakers. Learn more here.   • Tearing Down Barriers By Building Up People. TFA National talked to some alumni and other Black educators about their experiences during the pandemic and the importance of culturally responsive leadership.

Given the time of year, and the unpredictability we’re all trying to plan for, we’re hosting a short stand-up working group to bring forth some knowledge from partner organizations and provide collaboration space to help leaders plan for the upcoming year. Sessions will begin in March and there is no cost to join. TFA affiliation is not required.
